When You Try Your Best But You Don’t Succeed

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,

When you try your best but you don’t succeed, what will you do next? What is the problem? What is it actually that you do? Are you sure it is your best work? Or you think it is the best but the reality it isn’t? Maybe you know that you can’t but you try as if you can? Or you said that you can but the reality is you can’t?

There are lot of questions that we will ask ourselves if we do not succeed in what we do, like the questions up there, or more than that. Or, to some people love to put the blame on other people or other thing and situation. But, have you asked yourself what do you seek when we do that thing, or ask those questions?

Is it the fault? Or, it is the way to make ourselves feel right or happy? Or, just to have a peaceful mind after any obstacles that Allah put on us that we think we have failed? Or, what actually?

In Islam, there is a way to have the peaceful mind. It is called muhasabah and zikr. Muhasabah or recheck what we have done and corrected it is one way to have a peaceful mind. In way, we will know what really happen, whose fault is it, and how to make the corrections to the problems that come upon us before.

With zikr, in every failure or success that we achieve we know that it is our only fault or greatness or for that lead to it. It is the Creator who gives us the chance to achieve that. In everything we do, it includes our part of work and His part of work as well. If we want to excel in anything we do, always do our best and ask for His help.

Well, it is not that easy to do that. But, it is possible.

Like my friend said, God say ‘yes’ to our prays in 3 ways. Firstly, he gives us directly what we pray for. Secondly, he didn’t give us directly but in time which He only knows best. Thirdly, He never gives us what we want, but He give us better thing, far better than what we pray for. Sometimes, He didn’t give is in this life but in afterlife, which is heaven. Who do not want that? Right?

At the end, never lose hope, never blame others. Keep doing what we love and it will reduce the workload. Keep asking for Allah’s help and He always answer His servants pray. And He never let us down; we are the one who let us down.

Wallahualam.
